SUMMER FISHING (MAY - OCTOBER)
Summer boat fishing is varied and exciting

Total Marine Services specialises in Bass fishing, both Offshore sandbanks and wrecks. Bass fishing around the Gower coast is probably the best in the country. All fish under 3lb should be returned.

Maximum 3 fish per person all others returned.(Other than a specimen).
Other specialised trips can be arranged:

• Pollack - Offshore wrecks and reefs.
• Tope - Offshore (All fish returned)
• Conger - Offshore wrecks and reefs
• Plaice / Sole - Inshore
• Black Bream - Inshore reefs (3 fish per person kept)
• Rays / Turbot - Offshore Sandbanks
• Wrasse - Inshore Reefs (All fish returned)
• Smoothhound - Inshore reefs (All fish returned)
• Spurdogs - Offshore
• Shark - Offshore (If available)

Bait in the summer is mainly live sandeels and mackerel. Mackerel can be caught from June to September, but it is always advisable to bring a backup supply with you.

WINTER FISHING (NOVEMBER- MARCH)

Winter fishing is mainly concentrated on locating shoals of Cod, the average size of fish is over 10lb. with fish regularly taken to 20lb.
Other species available in the winter are :-
Conger
Rays
Whiting and of course the inevitable dogfish that are caught on a regular basis and all fish should be returned alive unless they are for the table.
Bait has to be lug worm (preferably black). Cocktail baits used in addition to Lug are squid, crab, razorfish and Clam.

The cod season is popular so please book in advance.
